We have a contract in!!!

We signed a contract on a home that we will likely live in forever! It is 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bath, 2433 square feet, 2-story great room, in a wonderful neighborhood close to my mom, stone exterior, iron pickets etc.... It's beautiful inside and out. I can't wait to move in! Here is the house that we signed on:

A song I heard.....

A song that I heard this morning really spoke to me. It truly says exactly how I feel at this point. Listen to it if you get a chance, it's by John Waller. It's called "While I'm Waiting"

I'm waiting I'm waiting on You, Lord And I am hopeful I'm waiting on You, Lord Though it is painful But patiently, I will wait I will move ahead, bold and confident Taking every step in obedience While I'm waiting I will serve You While I'm waiting I will worship While I'm waiting I will not faint I'll be running the race Even while I wait I'm waiting I'm waiting on You, Lord And I am peaceful I'm waiting on You, Lord Though it's not easy But faithfully, I will wait Yes, I will wait I will serve You while I'm waiting I will worship while I'm waiting I will serve You while I'm waiting I will worship while I'm waiting I will serve you while I'm waiting I will worship while I'm waiting on You, Lord

Thrawberry Banana Wockles

The boys love pancakes and waffles so this morning I made strawberry banana waffles. Kaleb went running through the house askin everyone if they wanted some. However, he did not ask if they wanted waffles, he asked if they wanted "thrawberry banana wockles".

Snow Day

Here in Greensboro, we rarely see very much snow accumulation. A dusting or inch is common, but Monday morning we woke up to about 6 inches of snow covering the ground. It was beautiful. Donald was out of work for the day and the boys were vey excited to have daddy home to play in the snow!

Finally---we can celebrate!

For 5 years now, a tax lein in the amount of $7,200 has haunted us. Because we were unable to pay agreed upon amounts and the IRS adds penalties and other fees to balances unpaid, our tax lein reached $12,000! Today, after 5 years of struggle, we can proudly announce that the tax lein is paid off! Gone and gone forever! We even received a small amount back this year after paying the tax lein off. Many thanks and praise to God!

Weight Loss So Far

Many of you have asked for an update regarding my weight loss journey. Well, for starters this is just so hard, but I know that I can do it. Why is it that a huge bowl of macaroni and cheese with 800 calories and 45 grams of fat looks so much more appealing than a grilled chicken breast? I don't get it. But, it does. I weighed in today and I have lost a total of 23 pounds and a total of 22.75 inches. I have lost right at 2 inches from my waist alone. I will continue to have faith in myself, even when I think there is no hope. What really helps is for me to remember that I have lost 23 pounds of FAT........need to be reminded of what fat looks like? Here goes....and imagine 23 of these!

Biggest Loser Competition 2009

Because of the increased interest in wanting to lose weight from some of my friends and family, I decided to head up a Biggest Loser competition. We have 9 members that are all eager to lose weight and become the biggest loser. Everyone paid $15 to join and at the end of the 12 weeks, whoever has lost the largest percentage of body weight will win the collected pot and be crowned Biggest Loser! If our first round is successful, we will go on to have round 2, which will last another 12 weeks. Good luck with your goals everyone--I am so proud of us all!

Long time, no blog!

Friends and family, please accept my apologies for a lack in my blogging. We have been very, very busy and although very hard to imagine, blogging has not been a priority. I promise to catch everyone up on our lives, post pictures and change the layout of the blog since fall has long passed us! Be looking out for updates over the next few days! We love you all.
